Pretty much this is just another post consisting of just pictures. Maybe a little flavor text. I haven’t been in the blogging mood… mainly because I keep holding out for my new website, but Sean tells me it should be an easy fix once he gets to it (Sean: get to it.).

Speaking of Sean:
Sean losing on his PSP

I can’t remember the name of the game he was playing, but he was losing (hence the pouty face). This picture is from his birthday, which was on May 3.

The set of pictures to follow are all from this past weekend in which I went and visited my family. Here’s Jackie and Alex bein all cute and snuggly:

And here’s dad, caught by surprise while he was talking to mom through the door:

Here is another attempt to take a picture of dad, but he was wise to my tactics and threw up the patented Jennifer hand to avoid being photographed:

And here are two more pictures that really exemplify my photography skeeeeeelz:

and

Yeah, that IS my thumb in the second one! I just managed to catch the both of them with such flattering facial expressions! Go me!

Love you guys!

Tarheel’s butts being stomped on aside (I almost cried :( ), I had a rather nice weekend with the boyfriend. Saturday we ate lunch at Ho Foods, then putzed around at Crossroads and Grand Asia for a little while. When we got back to my place, we made yummy nachos (check em out on veganity:recipes) and watched the newest episode of Battlestar. Here’s a picture of Sean while we were making dinner:
Sean making one of his faces
Very good day. Up til the Carolina game, that is. Sean slept through almost the whole thing, but I can’t see how. Freakin nail biter. Actually, more like a big disappointment. I mean, good job and all, Kansas, but this was supposed to be OUR year (again)! I’ve decided to root for the most underdoggiest team, memphis, since they’ve never won the NCAA.

Anywho, Sunday morning I made some pumpkin cinnamon rolls (again, see veganity:recipes), then Sean and I sat around a coupla hours, just chillin. We headed out to Burlington to thrift store shop (as a side note, sunday is not the best day to thrift store shop in Bton). At the Goodwill store in Mebane, Sean made me wear this hat:
The ugly thrift store hat
Ugly.. I know. That’s why I made that face.

We ate a late lunch at Subvay, headed back to Cary and parted ways for the rest of the weekend. I rounded out a good weekend by watching the second half of Sense and Sensibility on Masterpiece Theatre, while doing puzzles in a variety puzzles book (and letting the kitties walk all over me–and the puzzle book).

The end!

Last weekend (weekend of march 29) I went to see my parents and sister. I had a really nice weekend and I didn’t really want to come back on sunday. What this means is I will likely visit sooner next time! 3 months is too long to go without seeing the parentals! There’s no excuse really, cause I only live a 3 hour drive away. I may not live this close to them again for a while :/

anyway! Here are some pictures :)

I went to my mom and dad’s last friday and spent the day with them. My dad and I went for a nice long walk (5 or so miles) and then we made some (veg) chili and cornbread for dinner. Saturday there was some more relaxin goin on, and then Jackie showed up in the afternoon with Alex (doggie!) and Coco (sugar glider!) and her and I made our way to her friend’s house for her (friend’s) birfday. It was fun for the most part… we went to a hibachi place for dinner, then to a bar, and then a bootydancin club. After last call we went to a diner and got some foods, then went back to her friend’s. Then I turned into a bitch from hell cause I was tired and wanted to sleep but no one else did. The end! (Jackie put pics up on her myspace… unlike facebook you can’t link people to just a photo album unless they’re your friend. This is unfortunate cause there are some cute pictures.) <– I just took some off of there to post for y’all. HEre they is:

^ Me. I don’t know what I’m doing here. Laughing at something, apparently. This is also at the diner place.

There were many other pictures on Jackie’s myspace, but I just picked a few that I thought were most relevant to me. Cause I’m conceited.

Let’s see… where to begin…

I guess it would be sorta interesting to talk about all the fun stuff I did last weekend!

Nothing too remarkable about last week’s spaghetti night (yummy spaghetti is a given), except for the fact that Bobo brought Sean his christmas present (yes, February, I know).

And I got my picture taken, apparently (thanks, Bobo!):

Sean and I both took last friday off and we ended up going thrift store shopping in Burlington for most of the day. We also managed to find time to hit up H&R Block to get Sean’s taxes done (EXCITING!). I ended up getting a scarf and a coupla other things (what else besides the scarf is eluding me at the moment.. ), and Sean got an awesome t shirt:

however, my camera (old camera!!) sucked some shit, so the picture sucks. It says “Do Unto Others [ostrich] Then Split!”. It’s very cute. And very Sean somehow.

K so then we went to din din at Tower Indian Restaurant in Morrisville and had a yummy and satisfying Indian Thali. (no pics, sorry).

Saturday we ended up going to brunch at Whole Foods, then decided to go to Best Buy where I decided to splurge and get the camera I’ve been drooling over the past year. (Fujifilm FinePix Z, 7 megapixels). While I waited for the salesperson to get me the thing, Sean played Guitar Hero. Thought I would mention that, because I think it’s cute, and that’s how he do.

After that, we decided to make a trip to the state fairgrounds for the flea market, just for funsies. We ended up finding a really old credenza (from 1951) that Sean haggled for $75. He is now in the process of gathering parts and the manual so he can fix it and bring it back to workable condition. I should get a picture of it. I’m not a huge technophile or geek like he is, but even I think it’s a damn pretty thing.

[Oh yay! I just received an email from NetFlix telling me I'll be getting Becoming Jane in the mail tomorrow!]

After getting the credenza back to his place, Sean brought me home and we went our separate ways for the rest of the weekend. I girded my loins for my sister’s visit on the morrow.

She came bright and early (ish) and we went to lunch at Whole Foods (I know, I eat there a lot):
Jackie's camera

Her camera is the older (and fuschia-ier) version of mine. Notice her tattoo! She just got it like a week or two ago–it’s a capricorn symbol sign thingy.

Then we went to the mall and we actually sat on a bench and people-watched for a little while. I made lots of snide comments, she laughed. It was all good.

Then I think she got pooped, cause when we got back to my place she laid down on the couch and fell asleep. I made dinner while she slept (black beans and rice mmmm).

This is me enjoying the food:
yumm!

I know, I look funny.

Then we sorta sat around for the rest of the night. At one point, Squeaky was sitting on her head, but I didn’t get a good shot of it, cause she kept moving. This was the best I could get:
squeaky sitting on Jackie's head

Not much goin on since then. She was only here one night (I miss her already!I missed her before she left! I missed her before she even came!!!–ok maybe not).

At some point this week while I was going to my car at lunchtime, I noticed how pretty the sky was:
pretty blue sky on 2/18/08

So blue! That’s the parking lot at work, and I think this was on Monday.

Well that’s all for now! I’ll try to take some pictures tonight at spaghetti. Or not.
